Reddit GameStop

Reddit has been using GameStop to attack Hedge Funds on Wall Street. Big Finance has been shorting GameStop to try to make a quick buck whilst the company gets driven into the ground. Reddit, however, had other ideas. The Reddit community r/WallStreetBets has been driving the price of the stock up by getting its millions of users to buy shares in the company. This has resulted in some of the biggest Hedge Funds on Wall Street losing billions. A lot of the Reddit users stand to lose big time as well, but this seems to be about more than just money for Reddit. They seem to want to see Big Finance burn.
