A picturesque Bavarian village surrounded by the Alps. On the walls of her houses, various subjects are depicted: from the fairy tales of Charles Perrault, the Brothers Grimm, on biblical and knightly themes. The village is known for three things: the theatrical performances of the Passion of Christ, painting on houses and handicrafts. Performances are staged every 10 years. The first production took place in the 17th century, when many inhabitants died of the plague. Actors with the help of a theatrical performance portrayed the suffering of Christ and mourned the dead.
The frescoes on the walls of all the houses make them a tourist attraction. Houses began to be painted in the 18th century. At that time, a painted house emphasized the well-being of its owner. Also, the village is famous for the technique of wood carving, glass painting, jewelry, pottery. There is a museum in the village that tells about the history of this mountain village.
