Applied Data Analysis - Team CHIC
Pitch of our extension of the paper "Linguistic Harbingers of Betrayal:
A Case Study on an Online Strategy Game".
Based on a dataset containing thousands of games from the online tabletop board game "Diplomacy", we conducted an analysis to see if we could detect betrayals using game features - unlike the paper that uses linguistic cues. The work involved an extensive data-wrangling procedure, feature selection, training of a logistic regression model, validation of the model, and presentation of the dataset.
