Robottle - Robot Competition EPFL

𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 is an autonomous robot that we designed from scratch to attend the 𝗘𝗣𝗙𝗟 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Robottle is a 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘀 robot which collects bottle in an arena with obstacles. It constructs a map of its environment using a Lidar with SLAM and detects bottle using a Neuron Network trained on the COCO dataset.

This video presents 4 months of work done and the results we could achieve. The work involved:
- The mechanical design of the robot
- Its construction
- The design of the software to solve common robotics problem, such as Localisation, Mapping, Path Planning, Trajectory Tracking or finally Object Detection
- Its implementation on ROS with a Jetson Nano (NVidea) Board
