Jingle Bells for the New Year in Russian with Cheburashka
A rousing chorus of Jingle Bells melody with words in Russian from Cheburashka, Krokodil Gena and Sock Monkey. In Soviet times Christmas was more celebrated on the New Year, January 1st. So the Russian words to Jingle Bells are as much a celebration of the New Year as Christmas. Russians celebrate Christmas on Dec. 25, and then again, if you wish, on January 7 for Old Russian Christmas from the Orthodox calendar. Same for New Year, always on the January 1st, then if you wish on January 14 for Old Russian New Year from the Orthodox calendar.
