Het nationale volkslied van de Tsjetsjeense republiek Itsjkerië, Dood of Vrijheid (Tsjetsjeens: Joƶalla ya marşo, Ӏожалла я маршо), werd oorspronkelijk in 1988 geschreven voor het toneelstuk "Het Land van Onze Vaders" en werd in gebruik genomen in 1992. De muziek is geschreven door ofwel Ali Dimaev, ofwel Umar Beksultanov en de tekst door Abuzar Aydamirov.

"Death or Freedom" (Chechen: Joƶalla ya marşo, Ӏожалла я маршо) was the national anthem of the separatist Chechen Republic of Ichkeria. It was written in 1992 by either Ali Dimaev or Umar Beksultanov, with the words contributed by Abuzar Aydamirov.

The separatist Dudayev-era hymn was replaced by the current Anthem of the Chechen Republic in 2004.
