How to make a Moscow Mule:
Just like Father Christmas, the Moscow Mule is a true marketing success story. Conceived in the United States during the 1940s, the drink was invented as a way of popularising vodka – a spirit still very niche at the time – and depleting a stock of ginger beer.

Initially served in its iconic copper mug, the cocktail has been a hit in bars around the world ever since. Made with Belvedere Vodka, the cocktail combines the sharpness of lime juice enhanced with a moreish bitterness. The ginger beer softens the bite of the spirit and adds a slight hint of spicy heat.

ACCESSORIES:
- Bar spoon
- Ice tongs
- Garnish tweezers

GLASSWARE:
- Highball glass or copper mug

INGREDIENTS:
- 50 mL Belvedere Vodka
- 15 mL lime juice
- 15 mL simple syrup
- 1 dash bitters
- Top up with ginger beer

GARNISH:
- Wedge of lime

METHOD:
1. Combine the ice and bitters in a glass or copper mug.
2. Add the lime juice, simple syrup and Belvedere Vodka.
3. Top up with ginger beer and garnish with a wedge of lime.
