In this video I am checking out the acoustic icon, the Martin D-18.

I've always had a love/hate relationship with acoustic. Growing up I loved the sound of it, and many of my favourite records feature prominent acoustic parts, often played on Martin guitars, but personally my style of playing never pulled me towards spending much time with the acoustic.

The D-18 is an icon in the Martin range, it's a fantastic, balanced guitar that works for all styles of music. This is probably the most excited I've ever been about an acoustic guitar.

In the video you are hearing the D-18 mic'd with a Lewitt Audio LCT440 condenser mic and a Rode NGT1 Shotgun Mic.
