In this video I'll be taking a look at the Chevtone Effects Preacher Drive.

Chevtone are a small UK based pedal company who are putting out some incredible drive pedals right now. The Preacher Drive is the lowest gain offering in their range and it's perfectly suited to anyone looking for a blues or classic rock style drive.

The Preacher leans heavily on classic, retro sounds and with it's Shape control, you can switch the mid focus from an American Tweed style tone to a British JTM45 style tone, and everything in between.

This pedal doesn't have a huge amount of gain on tap, and it's not supposed to. But paired with the right guitar and right amp, you can use it to tweak and push your tone any direction you can imagine.

As with everything in the Chevtone range, the Preacher is made with very high end components, including a mixture of both NOS and modern parts. All hand assembled to order and each component is hand selected and tested prior to installation.

In the video I am using my Shergold Guitars Provocateur plugged into the Blackstar Studio 10 6L6 which is mic'd with a Lewitt Audio LCT 440 mic.
