Twilio [TWLO] Stock | Great Fundamentals, Bright Future

In this video I will share with you my analysis of TWILIO INC. This is one of the companies I personally invest in myself, and its important that I disclose it. I have not been paid to make this video and I have no affiliation with TWLO or any of their affiliates or officers. This is purely based on my objective opinion and you should always do your own research.

When I consider an investment, I look at 5 factors:

1. How solid is the business model

2. How solid is the management

3. How solid is the moral basis

4. How solid are the financials and fundamentals

5. What other smart people are saying about it

Business Model
Twilio Inc., aka TWLO, This some sexy EV stock but it has a phenomenally simple business model. In one sentence, it’s a cloud-based software that improves B2C connectivity. Meaning it allows companies to communicate better with customers using WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, SMS, Voice, and more. This is a cloud-based platform which allows for an interactive 2 way conversation between clients and companies. Twilio helps companies reach relevant clients, be simple helpful and effective and stay compliant with privacy and anti-spam regulations. I felt that this is the future of customer relations, before covid, and now it is more relevant than ever now. This is the future of all our interactions with our service and product providers. Instead of waiting for 20 minutes on the phone, you can just go back and forth with your cable tv provider via WhatsApp messages. Twilio has a market cap of 48 billion USD and a stated goal of becoming the world’s leading customer engagement platform. Q3 2020 total revenue was almost 300 million, which is an 80% increase year over a year. The gross margin is about 50% which is good and though the company is still not profitable, it is growing, investing more money into R&D and hitting its stride on getting there quite soon. It currently serves over 200K clients, which is a 24% increase YoY. That number is a good indicator of both business scalability and lower client concentration risk. Back in 2017, TWLO took a 30% nosedive when UBER decided to pretty much to reduce its use of TWLO. Back than it was a 12% client, which sent the stock price spiralling down. No more, the client concentration concerns are a thing of the past. This time of year, 2019 they had 170K clients and back in 2018 the number was 60K. This company has a simple to use product with a very minimal learning curve for developers, plus they got a strong market position in a market set to through pandemic acceleration. The way communicate may go obsolete and new platforms may come and go, but what TWILIO does will always be relevant.
