HOW TO MAKE A BEADED FLOWER FACEMASK HOLDER | ROCHELLE MERCADO

Hi, friends, welcome or welcome back! Today, we are going to make another facemask holder but it's a bit different because we are not going to use crimp hooks. Someone asked where I bought my bead tray and actually it is a box of Ferrero Rocher chocolate which was gifted to me by my former student. And it has already been 4yrs., I guess, that I have kept it, and it's only now that I have found a way to repurpose it

For this project, I am going to use this nylon which is a bit thinner than the one I used in my other video. First,we have to string 8 pcs. of beads. The one I'm using is a 3mm transparent beads. The length of the string that I am using is 80 inches. Yes, it's a bit long because we need a lot of string for this one and we can always cut it short later on. Add another bead and cross the string, like so. After that, we should come up with a loop like this. Let's add another bead on each string. You do not have to follow the colors of beads that I'm going to use here. It's up to you whatever color and size you're going to use.

Noe, we are going to start making the beaded flower. First, string 1 4mm purple bead. Next, add 5 purple beads, either the left or the right string, it doesn't matter. Add another bead with a different color. And we have to take note that the string where you added the 5 beads a while ago will become shorter, so, when we are going to make the next flower, we have to add it in the longer string. After adding the center bead, we have to cross the string thru the top bead, like so. We are ready to make the next flower, just add 1 bead on each string just like what we did before. And another color of bead and cross the string, like so. So, the color of this flower is yellow. It should look like this. And then add 5 beads on the longer string and pass it thru the yellow bead to make a loop. Now, let's add another colour for the center bead. And then, cross the string thru the top bead. Now, we are done with the second flower and two more to go. And basically, we are just going to repeat the process until we finish the fourth flower.

And now, we are down to the last beaded flower. Again, after each flower, add 1 bead on each string and then add 1 white bead and then cross the string. Next, let's add 10 white beads, like so. Then add 5 transparent beads. So, the pattern is alternating 10 white bead and 5 transparent beads. Now, if the measurement is 21 inches from the tip up to the last bead, we are now ready to make the beaded flower on the other side.

Now, let's add 1 white bead and then cross the string and then add 1 transparent bead on each string just like what we did before. After that we are now going to make a beaded flower. So, the color of this one should be the color of the last flower that we did which is red. So, we just have to continue the process that we did before in making a beaded flower. And now, we are down to the last beaded flower and now we are ready to make the last steps of this project.

So just like what we did before after each flower, add 1 transparent bead on each string. Add one more bead and cross the string, like so. After that, in one of the strings, add 8 pcs of transparent bead and then the other string should pass thru all the 8 transparent beads, like so. And then, each string should cross that one transparent bead to make a loop. We have to tie the string 2 times to secure the loop. The loop on each end is where we are going to attach the lobster clasps. After tying it, we have to pass the string in a series of beads to hide the tail. After hiding the tail of the string, just go and grab your jump rings and your lobster clasps and then attach it to the end of the loop.
