How to paint a Hibiscus Flower with PanPastels and Pastel Pencils

In this pastel demonstration I show you how I use PanPastels and Pastel Pencils on Pastelmat with my brush technique, which is how I work these days.

I use masking film to prevent halos around my subjects and show you how I mix colours if I don’t have the hue or colour I’m looking for.

This painting is inspired by Anne from FineArtAnne, such a talented artist. Where she has some wonderful examples of Mash Up creatures.

Glassine Paper to protect work while I was painting
Gum eraser & Kneaded eraser
Sofft Tools
Synthetic makeup brush for applying, blending and adding details.

Exacto knife
