We will be practicing painting distant mountains, using all the techniques we have learned in previous tutorials. It's all about lights and darks to make the mountains look 3D.

PanPastels, Paynes Grey Group, Chrom Green Group, Burnt Sienna Group, Red Iron Oxide Group, Phthalo Blue Group, Raw Umber Group, Black and Titanium White

Pastel Pencils – Various brands such as Bruynzeel, Stabilo Carbothello, Conte, and Faber Castell Pitt Pastel

A spare piece of paper to use as a mixing palette

Glassine paper to protect your subject as you paint

Paper towel to wipe off excess pastel as you paint along.
