Nickel(IV): Sodium nickel periodate

We make a complex containing nickel in the rare high oxidation state of Ni(IV), as apparently it is capable of oxidising bromates to perbromates. Characterisation is done in order to feel more confident about our random black/steel grey/purple solid.
