Myst - Apple's 2021 Game of the Year

In this video, I will be reviewing Apple's game of the year. Although Apple is an incredibly influential company with their products and services, not many gamers look up to the endorsement of Apple when it comes to videogame recommendations. It does make more of an impact when a remake of such an iconic game comes around and receives a reward like this.

In this review, I will be discussing the impact Myst has had on the gaming landscape, as well as reviewing the most recent remake of the game that came out last August in 2021. I will not be going over any spoilers in this video.

Myst is a puzzle adventure game featuring a silent protagonist as you venture to the island of Myst and its neighboring realms, trying to piece together how you ended up there and how to escape it. This game released in 1993 on the Mac and has now been released on modern platforms sporting the Unreal Engine 4, recreating the fantastic art and atmosphere that made the original so memorable and fantastic.

Is this remake of Myst worthy of being called game of the year? Join me as I take a stroll through Myst island to find out.
