Is the Prowler 1981's Most Underrated Slasher Film?

1981 was a golden year for slasher movies -- Friday the 13th Part 2, Halloween 2, The Burning...but there's one really good slasher film that got lost in the shuffle: Joe Zito's The Prowler.

Alternately titled as Rosemary's Killer, this cult classic features special effects work from the legendary Tom Savini.

Filled with red herrings, awful rock music, and some of Savini's most creative kills (including yet another signature exploding head gag), The Prowler deserves a wider audience.
