This video should be a special treat for the viewers--almost as much as it was for us! In this video I join the Conlin’s at the Conlin Family Farm in southeast Michigan. The “Sweet Spot” for maple syrup season here is right between the end of February and late March, and we take full advantage of the plethora of maple trees which can be found all over the property. Filming took place over a 4 day period of outside and inside activity, and this syrup special covers all the major steps of the process: tapping trees, setting up a ‘sugar shack,’ collecting sap, boiling and reducing sap, filtering syrup, bottling syrup, and using syrup for some delicious breakfast food, as well as some outdoor shenanigans! We always have fun on our outdoor adventures, and we hope you enjoy this experience and insight into homemade, farm-to-table, organic Michigan Maple Syrup!
