Unlike Britain, which operated under a parliamentary system with King George II actively involved (even in battles like Dettingen), France provided minimal support to its colonies. Local forces were left to recruit natives and fend off threats independently, highlighting the monarchy's strategic shortcomings and contributing to colonial losses.
