Stone foundation for a log cabin

I am starting a series of videos about the construction of a log cabin. As a foundation, I chose a foundation of granite blocks as the most reliable and beautiful. I bought crushed stone from granite stones, part of which had to be smashed into smaller parts with a sledge hammer. The base has an octagonal shape, the size along the axes of 20x20 feet (6.4x6.4 m). The height of the foundation is from 1 to 3 feet (0.3 to 0.9 m), since it is located on a slope. I am engaged in construction in the evening after the main work and on weekends.
