Episode three of the Tiny Cabin Build - In this one I am working on the foundation. First I had to pull lines because the site where I am building is not level at all. Then I staked some stones and rocks to create a foundation/retaining wall.
I am filling in the entire area with river gravel which is similar to crush a run used in gravel driveways. I am going to attempt to tamp it tight enough that it makes for a good foundation but time will tell.
Then, as always, I am going to need more logs. So I take you through another tree felling/bucking/wresting process in hopes to acquire enough timer to get this thing done some day.
In the next episode we should be laying the first course of Logs! Things should speed up from there!
And As always - I have no idea what I am doing with Bushcraft or survival! These videos are not meant to be instructional or recreated! I am just trying to learn these new skills and I’m sharing my experience in a different way.
