Siccas Media presents Felipe Celis Catalán - J.S Bach BWV 998 on a classical romantic guitar.

Felipe Celis Catalán completed his bachelor's degree at the Art Faculty of the "Universidad de Chile" with Luis Orlandini and music education at the "Universidad Metropolitana de Ciencias de la Educación". In 2016 he completed his master's degree at the University Mozarteum Salzburg with Marco Tamayo. In 2016 he began his postgraduate studies at the University Mozarteum Salzburg with Eliot Fisk. In 2013 and 2016 he received a Fondart scholarship for the above mentioned courses.

As a soloist he has performed concerts and taught as a guest professor in the most important concert halls in Chile, as well as in Mexico, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Peru, Spain, Italy, Scotland, England and Austria. In these countries he was also a jury member in well-known guitar competitions.

He was 1st prize winner in the competition "Josep Ferrer" (Girona, Spain), "Young Soloists of the Facultad de Artes de la Universidad de Chile" (Santiago, Chile), "Concurso Cesar Cortinas, Homenaje a Aber Carlevaro" (Atlántida, Uruguay) and 3rd prize winner in the competition "Villa de Aranda" (Aranda, Spain). He was a member of the well-known Chilean music groups "Barroco Andino" and "Ensamble de guitarras de Chile". He has also recorded for radio and television in Chile and abroad, including "Los jovenes también aman lo clásico", program about the young classical musicians in Chile. He won special recognition from well-known Chilean composers who wrote several musical works especially for him, which he premiered. These composers were Horacio Salinas, Juan Antonio Sánchez, Juan Mouras, Lorenzo Cornejo, Eduardo Padilla, Mauro Godoy, Maximiliano Soto, among others.
In 2013 he performed as a soloist with the "Orquesta de la Facultad de Artes de la Universidad de Chile" under the direction of Maestro David del Pino Klinge. In addition he played with the "Orquesta del Teatro Regional del Maule" under the direction of Pedro Sierra.

From 2010 to 2013 he was assistant to Professor Luis Orlandini at the Universidad de Chile. He was also a founding member of "Traypin Producciones", a company dedicated to audio-visual production to promote the work of outstanding musicians. Since 2012 he has been supported by the Chilean guitar maker Carlos López Menares.
Since December 2017 he has been a guitar teacher at Musikum Salzburg, Austria.
