1,410 sq.ft. Compact Peeping House in Surat, Gujarat by The Company of Design

Built on a plot sized 1,410 sq.ft., the Peeping House sits in a close-knit community of the Ghod Dhod locality in Surat, Gujarat. The design of the house focuses on achieving privacy while avoiding isolation.
The design challenge was to incorporate the spatial requirements within a limited plot. Hence, to attain the desired usable spaces within the house, the circulation area has been compacted.

The front facade has a glass box that pops out, with small, controlled, openable windows, which bring in ventilation but at the same time flood the house with natural light during the day.
