Do This BEFORE Ruining Your Reverb G2

After having found that the connection point where the Reverb G2 headset by HP meets its cord/cable has proven prone to failure, often causing game crashes and disconnects; not to mention eventually burning out the headset unit itself by it entirely, so I have been using my latest (replacement) setup under the configuration demonstrated per this video above in mitigating if not eliminating its unusual wear and rapid deterioration. Also, note that Hewlett-Packard have been referring to this failure as a defect in the seating of their connection pin-out as a result of poor quality control leading to inconsistency.

Do this at you own risk as these cables can be fragile as well as the plastic headset and its parts so do be careful and proceed with caution if you wish to replicate my implementation! and most importantly, don't be thrifty at insuring that you leave A LOT of slack for the cable overtop because the headstrap is far stretchier than you imagine; as tight loops of string around the cord permanently lock its length from slipping down to the very millimeter at two points, while remaining stretchy enough around the strap (clip) to limit flex yet allow it to pivot at a concrete point much like the common termination strain relief boots. Otherwise, over time connector pins can break out arcing by streching its backstrap on and off from around the head; leading it to becoming outlandishly touchy in leading to crashes and errors eventually frying it electronically⚠️
