Dr. Bovinet: Fantastic Patient Outcomes Using LinQ | PainTEQ
In this video, Christopher Bovinet, DO, discusses his experience on the leading edge of PainTEQ’s transformative approach for sacroiliac (SI) joint pain. Dr. Bovinet is a Physiatrist and Interventional Pain Physician, currently serving as the Medical Director and Interventional Spine and Pain Management Physician at The Spine Center of Southeast Georgia. In addition, Dr. Bovinet is the Treasurer and Director-at-Large for the Georgia Society of Interventional Pain Physicians Inc.
As the first physician in the world to perform 100 LinQ procedures, Dr. Bovinet boasts extensive experience using the LinQ SI Joint Stabilization System. In this video, he explains how he has found the LinQ procedure to be very reliable, reproducible, and safe with fantastic outcomes. Dr. Bovinet has also discovered that at the 6-month follow-up for 50 of his patients, an average of 76% experience pain relief. In addition, his team has found that everyone who has undergone this procedure either stopped taking pain pills or significantly reduced their intake, meaning no patients increased their opioid consumption.
Dr. Bovinet then goes into detail about the natural structure of the SI joint and how it typically uses less than 1% of its available range of motion. When the joint begins moving too much, patients often experience bone-on-bone contact, leading to SI joint dysfunction. The beauty of the LinQ device is that its implantation instantly stabilizes the anterior and posterior ligaments, which results in initial and long-term pain relief.
