Major AI chatbots parrot CCP propaganda

Major AI chatbots, including those from Google, Microsoft, and OpenAI, are reproducing Chinese Communist Party (CCP) propaganda and censorship when questioned on sensitive topics. The American Security Project analyzed five popular large language model (LLM) powered chatbots: OpenAI's ChatGPT, Microsoft's Copilot, Google's Gemini, DeepSeek's R1, and xAI's Grok. All chatbots sometimes returned responses indicative of CCP-aligned censorship and bias. Microsoft's Copilot was found to present CCP propaganda as authoritative information, while xAI's Grok was more critical of Chinese state narratives. The issue stems from the vast datasets used to train these models, which include manipulated public opinion from China.
