"Lovers In A Dangerous Time" was the opening track from Bruce Cockburn's 14th studio album, Stealing Fire, which was released in the fall of 1984. This is my 2nd video for a track from this album, which was (as I mentioned in the description to "Making Contact") one of the best engineered and produced records I'd ever heard.....still is.

I always envisioned lovers during WWII when I heard this track and so I tried to make a video that captured those images....also a chance to feature some art by Rene Magritte (until I release another vid I've been working on featuring his work much more prominently).

I pulled some clips featuring other WWII leaders (Churchill, Roosevelt & Truman, Mussolini, Hirohito) and planned on mixing those clips into the video as well (because I didn't want a political video.....and I'm sure the allied leaders were the personification of evil to many innocent lovers from the armies they fought against)...but since I'm bummed that the video will basically lost (even more than usual) with the new Googlization of YouTube, I just couldn't manage the effort to work them in. So basically you get the ultimate imagery of wartime "dangerous times".....AH and the Nazis.
