Lady Writer - Dire Straits (1979)

"Lady Writer" was released on Dire Straits second album, Communiqué, in June 1979. I have been a huge fan of this album since it was released, it's easily my favorite Dire Straits album, and I love them all. Play this one loud, because you've never heard it sound anywhere as good as the new MFSL hybrid SACD! Trust me here! ;-)

After getting motivated by the stunning sound on the Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs new 2019 hybrid SACD's to update one of my oldest (and still most popular!) videos for Dire Straits' "Once Upon A Time In The West" https://youtu.be/0uUAYaSXkCY I decided to go ahead and do another track from the album, I won't say it's a favorite because every song on this album is a favorite, but.....yeah, a great classic Dire Straits track. And although I'll be a fan and like whatever Mark decides to play.....I'd sure like to see him rock out like he used to!!!

Communiqué was later certified gold in the United States, platinum in the United Kingdom and double-platinum in France.
