How I Make My Pins!
It's ummmheather here in my first ever YouTube video showing you guys how I make my handmade pins! I hope you enjoy ❤
*EDIT IN 2019* I no longer make these kinds of pins! Too much plastic lol it's bad for the environment! Also I just prefer to get enamel pins made :)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS!
Q: What do you use to make the artwork?
A: I use Photoshop and a Wacom drawing tablet.
Q: What type of printer did you use?
A: Epson NX430 (Any ink jet printer should be fine. Laser printers will most likely melt the paper!!!)
Q: Why did my colors bleed after I put the Mod Podge Dimensional Magic on?
A: I get this question a lot, and my only theory is that it may be the brand of printer/ink you're using. I'm not totally sure on this one though, because my colors have never bled! I use my Epson printer and get Epson ink cartridges from Target. You can try using a clear coat spray (and let it dry) before you put the Dimensional Magic on.
Q: What temperature do I bake them at?
A: 350 degrees Fahrenheit
Q: How long to the pins have to bake in the oven?
A: 1-3 minutes
Q: How big do the pins need to be before they shrink?
A: The pins will shrink by about 50%, so I print them out about double the size I want them to be after they shrink. My particular designs are about 2 inches when I print them out, as I want them to shrink down to about 1 inch or less.
Q: It looks like they get darker when they shrink. Is that true?
A: Yes. The colors saturate and get darker when they shrink! I lighten the pins quite a bit before I print them. I use the "Levels" tool in Photoshop to lighten the colors. Some shrink film papers say to lighten by about 20 or 25 percent, whatever that means :)
Q: Where do you buy the Shrink Film paper?
A: I get them in packs on Amazon! Search "Shrink Film Ink Jet White" The brand is "Grafix"
Lemme know in the comments if you have a question I didn't answer!
