how i make clay pins ☆

a little vlog-style tutorial of how i make my clay pins/magnets/friends! i hope this helps you out and inspires you to make more stuff — i always forget how much fun traditional tactile mediums are, and it's such a joy to get back into 'em~

✧˖° supplies
• polymer clay — i use sculpey!
• a small rolling pin — i use a small highlighter
• an x-acto knife or boxcutter
• holbein acryla gouache
• assorted paintbrushes

• uv lamp — this is the one i bought! https://amzn.to/2rTcTn5 i wish i had bought a slightly bigger one so it was easier to move the clay pieces in and out, but it does the job
• epoxy glue (e6000 to be exact) to affix your magnets and pins to the back of your friends! you wanna let the glue sit for a day before using the pin or magnet — that way you know the bond is super strong and secure. i got my pin backs and magnets from michael's!
