The Premiere Public Talkback with the Haus of Glitter

On May 5, 2022, the Rhode Island School of Design hosted the Premiere Public Talkback with the Haus of Glitter at the Chace Center. Members of the Haus of Glitter—Assi Coulibaly, Anthony "AM." Andrade, Trent Lee, Steven Choummalaithong, and Matthew Garza—joined Lady J Jess Brown, Assistant Professor of Industrial Design, in a public dialogue about the Haus of Glitter's site-specific activist dance opera, The Historical Fantasy of Esek Hopkins, which was performed at the former home of Esek Hopkins, commander of the slavery ship, "Sally."

This event was co-sponsored by the Center for Social Equity and Inclusion and the Departments of Theory of History of Art and Design and Apparel Design.
