2012 Alex L. Shigo Award for Excellence in Arboricultural Education -- Susan M. Murray

The ISA Awards of Distinction are the highest honors awarded by the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). Nominations are submitted annually by members and industry professionals for nine different award categories. The entries are reviewed by the ISA Awards Committee and approved by the ISA Board of Directors. Each year, the award recipients are announced and honored at the ISA Annual International Conference. The Alex L. Shigo Award for Excellence in Arboricultural Education recognizes the important role that education plays in enhancing the quality and professionalism of the arboriculture industry. It is granted to ISA members who have exhibited sustained excellence in providing arboricultural education.
