Biblical Lentil Soup

Esau sold his birthright to Jacob for a meal of lentil stew - Genesis 25: 27-34. Lentils have been around for a long time. They are eaten in many other countries because of their high protein value. Lentils also have lots of good fiber. They cook in about 20 minutes which makes this a very quick meal.

You can add anything you like to this soup, it's very versatile. You can make it your own.
