September 11 Commemoration - 20 Years of Remembrance at the Nixon Library

The Richard Nixon Foundation marked the 20th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks with a commemoration ceremony at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum on September 11, 2021. The ceremony included 23 tons of wreckage from the World Trade Center as its stirring centerpiece.

The ceremony included remarks and remembrances by Orange County Sheriff Don Barnes, Orange County Fire Authority Assistant Chief Phill Johnson and Tom Frost, the father of United Flight 175 passenger Lisa Anne Frost, Sept. 11, 2001.

The ceremony also featured:

-A fleet of fire engines and trucks, including Ladder Truck 32

-The ceremonial firefighter’s “Final Alarm"

-A formal Presentation of the Colors and the National Anthem

-Musical performances by the Orange High School Concert Choir, the Orange County Chamber Singers and Masters Choral, and the Villa Park High School Band.
