The 2019 Motley Crue biopic "The Dirt" takes a look at a rock band who is just as famous for their controversy as they are for their music, so a family-friendly biopic would have just been wrong. Thankfully, the film is based on the band’s memoir, and it even stops to tell you when something is being changed for screenwriting convenience. However, there is still a lot of the story that the biopic ignores, with some suggesting that the band’s memoir isn’t entirely accurate.
