Favorite Cutting Boards You Must See

This video build is for two cutting boards that would have a capital letter inlay with food safe table top epoxy. My middle son made most of these cutting boards, but I worked on the inlay and epoxy with the finish. We milled down some two inch Walnut that we had in the shop. We used a piece of White Oak for the accent pieces in the board. After gluing them to rough dimension, the boards are sent to the planer for getting the desired thickness. After planing the boards, we spent a great deal of time sanding up to 420 grit. We water-popped the boards to get the grain up and sanded after his step. I then moved on to hand cut the inlay into the boards. Yes, I would love to have a CNC machine for this, but I do like cutting them out by hand also. Once we finished the boards with some beeswax and mineral oil, we gave them to the customer. The customer's wife and daughter-in-law were very happy to receive these as Mother's Day gifts. We were happy they chose us to make them. I hope you enjoy the video. Let me know what you think....I know you all have some ideas for me to make things better.
