POV: learning to leave your comfort zone this season (more in description)

Anyone else? 💗 Not to be cliché, but every good thing that’s ever happened to me, has been a result of leaving my comfort zone. And I don’t even mean in the wild “I need to jump off a bridge to feel alive” kind of way. I mean leaving the house on days I just want to be a sad blob, stretching for a minute when it’s easier to stay curled up on the couch (even though I know dang well my knee hurts in the position I’m sitting in), or trying a new recipe too.

Every little time I’ve done the thing that both felt harder to do and yet my intuition knew was the good thing to do, I’ve felt way better! Sure, sometimes that new recipe, or different clothing style, or new podcast I tried listening to (or starting myself) is a DUD! Like the dustiest of duds. But what’s the worst that really happened? If anything, every dud, failure, or waste of time has taught me more about myself than the successes, by learning what I don’t like this season. Which arguably, is just as important as learning what you do like.

Some big things I did last year that scared me but changed my life!:
📦 Moving into an apartment alone!
🪚 DIYing things with tools I was scared to use for the first time
🎿 Touring with a heavy old inbound set up
🧠 Trying new things in my career creatively
💸 Learning more about budgeting/money/credit/etc.

So cheers to more of that this year. Cheers to trying new things, doing the hard things, and keeping an open mind whenever possible. 🤍
