How to Make a Festival Ball Shell (Reloadable 1.75” Aerial Shell)

This tutorial is for the experienced pyro maker. Please do not attempt unless you have worked with black powder and firework making before.
These are festival balls that are similar to the ones you can buy from firework stores. The ones I made were 1.25 inches in diameter. You can use different effects than I used such as colored stars, flyingfish fuse, or crackling stars. I will have a video on my new method on making paper hemispheres up soon.

The test I shot off in the video was not the greatest because my stars were bad. I tried a sulfur base star composition to try to get a peony rather than a palm effect, however the sulfur stars do not ignite easily. However, I was still pretty happy with the spherical (or somewhat spherical) break.
