Stage performances, or getais, during the Hungry Ghost Festival will be live-streamed via social media platforms this year (2020) due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Still, organisers said far fewer clients are asking them to put on such shows even when a lot more viewers will be able to watch these from the safety of their homes.
