DIY Motion Sim Power System Pt 4 — Parallel PSUs + Shielded Pot Wiring + Case Mounting!

In Part 4 of the Dr ADHD Electronics Series, I wire up the dual server power supplies in parallel and show exactly how to make safe, clean, reliable high‑current connections using crimp terminals. This episode is all about building the power backbone of the Dr ADHD 4DOF rig.

I start by wiring the two PSUs in parallel and routing their output through dual 50 amp breakers before feeding the Sabertooth 2×32. I break down how to choose the right crimps, how to terminate them properly, and how to avoid the common mistakes that cook wires and destroy controllers.

Next, I strip and prepare shielded 3‑core cable for the potentiometers, showing how to wire from the Energy 360 main boards to the pot bulkheads at the back of the PC case. This keeps signal noise low and gives you a clean, professional wiring layout.

Along the way, I cover:

How to safely wire dual PSUs in parallel

Crimp terminal selection and proper termination

Stripping and wiring shielded 3‑core cable for potentiometers

This episode is the power and signal wiring foundation your DIY motion sim needs to run reliably for years.
