Solo travel can be hard, really hard at times.
the yin and yang of solo travel is the highs are highs and the lows are low.
As someone that struggles with anxiety it can be overwhelming to be alone in a new place where they dont speak the same language or eat the same kind of foods. Then add in jet lag for extra spice.
But on the flip side, you’ll really get to know yourself and your limits when you start solo traveling. You get an immense sense of accomplishment with each trip.
Its ok to crash out, just dont let that define your trip. Find ways to reset and start over:
😴 take a nap
📚 read in a park
🏝️ relax on a beach or by water
📺 watch your favorite show or movie
🍕 eat some comfort food
Check in with yourself and your mental health on trips.
🔸Are you overscheduling yourself? take time off and relax
🔸Is decision fatigue hitting? take a day tour where someone else does the scheduling
🔸Feeling loney? facetime with friends or family
