Eternals (2021) | Mid-Credit Scene – The Arrival of Eros and Pip the Troll

In the mid-credits scene of Eternals (2021), the Marvel Cinematic Universe expands beyond Earth once again, introducing two cosmic characters that hint at new adventures across the stars — Eros (Starfox) and Pip the Troll.

After Arishem the Judge abducts Sersi, Kingo, and Phastos to evaluate humanity’s worth, the remaining Eternals — Thena (Angelina Jolie), Makkari (Lauren Ridloff), and Druig (Barry Keoghan) — are seen traveling through deep space aboard the Domo, the Eternals’ ancient ship. They’re concerned about the fate of their friends, having lost contact with Earth, and begin to suspect something terrible has happened.

As they discuss their next move, the ship suddenly shudders and is enveloped in strange golden light. From a cosmic portal, a small, boisterous figure appears — Pip the Troll (voiced by Patton Oswalt). Pip, slightly intoxicated and overly confident, announces the arrival of a great hero: “The Royal Prince of Titan, brother of Thanos, defeater of Black Roger, knower of secrets, and lover of peace — Eros!”

Stepping forward from a shimmering beam of light is Eros (Harry Styles), also known as Starfox, dressed in regal armor that gleams with the same Celestial energy as the Ten Rings and the Eternals’ own powers. Eros introduces himself with an easy smile and a confident tone, revealing that he knows exactly where the missing Eternals are — and that he can help them find their friends.

He flashes a glowing sphere similar to Sersi’s communicator, suggesting his deep connection to the Celestials and confirming that he too is an Eternal — albeit one with a mysterious and possibly dangerous past.

The scene ends with Eros and Pip standing proudly before the astonished trio as the Domo drifts among the stars, setting up the next chapter in the Eternals’ cosmic saga and hinting at a future Eternals 2 or Starfox-focused story.
