Freediving 60 Minutes - Breathtaking 2009

16:9 version of 60 Minutes / August 2009 With Charles Wooly.

Australia's longest Ocean cave "Fish Rock Cave" @ South west rocks on a single breath...Total accumulated Distance of 178 Mtrs ( 10 mtrs descent to Cave entrance, 126m through, 16 mtrs descent to exit at 26 mtrs, 26 mtrs to surface.) time was 2:50 Mins on Suunto D4

Crazy swim and 4 days of big seas and excitement, the 60 minutes producers wanted it done in the middle of Australian winter June/July, Water temp was 15 Degrees, vis was ranging from 20 mtrs to 10.....the Diving and Freediving was quite demanding and not to easy, hardcore was a better way to describe it.

I completed the swim by following a guide rope and using a Torch attached to my top wrist, There is much current in the cave, it surges from the outer exit, this was strong the whole 4 days, sometimes even stopping me mid swim, the inside of the cave is beautiful, and full of lobsters and critters everywhere, many little eyes looking and watching ;)

AMCS -I believe the Australian marine conservation society raised around 6 k from this swim, There were thousands of National / international syndicate that took the adventure of fish rock and the Grey nurse shark habitat to the world!..really cool

Crew and support teams had a wonderful adventure and 4 days of excitement, Myself i had 4 days of adventure and some extra pressure and expectation, and sometimes really quite stressful but i love Fish rock, so enjoyed the whole experience.
