a Hawk catches a Duck

Here's a wildlife thriller my wife and I witnessed in Constitution Gardens, Washington DC in May 2018.
I noticed a hawk patrolling the area around the pond - all of a sudden it went down. As I went to see where it landed - I found it sitting in the bush in an awkward position. Then I figured out he grabbed a duck. All that time the hawk was harassed by a red-winged blackbird, who actually ruined the hawk's plans.
