Red-tailed Hawk making a kill! Up close! Rat suicide? Near Verrazano Bridge 1

Worth watching the whole video. After finishing a smaller snack, it flew to an area that has plenty of rats. Suddenly, it spotted a lone rat making its way out. The hawk flew closer and closer. The rat did not even flinch. At one point, it seemed as if the rat was blind, afterall, did it not see the hawk? Watch for yourself and decide. Kamikaze??

The hawk then flew to a nearby post where it killed it, and then flew across the highway and landed on top of a street lamp post where it fed on the kill.
