The Big Question: Go Woke, Go Broke? Nick Buckley MBE on keeping politics out of business

Nick Buckley MBE came to national attention in June 2020, when he was sacked from the charity he founded – Mancunian Way - for critiquing the political organisation behind Black Lives Matter. He then mounted a successful fightback, that resulted in his reinstatement. The board of trustees resigned due to public pressure and the threat of legal action.

Nick has spent two decades preventing crime and antisocial behaviour in the toughest neighbourhoods. He promotes early intervention and personal responsibility. His motto is that it’s quicker, easier and cheaper to turn around the life of a 12-year- old, rather than wait until they are 19, and entrenched in dysfunctionality.

He is a respected journalist and broadcaster and has since set up an organisation called Go Woke Go Broke, which advises businesses on keeping out of politics and the culture war.
