Color 1: 0.0625% DOS Extreme Blue
Color 2: 0.25% DOS Extereme Blue + 0.125% DOS True Black
Color 3: 1% DOS Extereme Blue + 0.5% DOS True Black
[8:30] Preparing the yarn - Dividing it into three sections
Presoaked overnight in plain tap water
[12:04] Making a 0.33% Stock Solution (diluting a 1% Stock)
50 mL 1% Stock Extreme Blue + 100 mL water; 25 mL 1% Stock True Black + 50 mL water
[13:18] Mixing the dyes
[14:56] Dyeing color 1 - The lightest Blue
8 cups of water + the lightest mixed color + NO ACID
Add the yarn before adding acid because the first color is so light
Add 2 T white vinegar after stirring the yarn around a lot.
Heat for 20 minutes
[17:25] Dyeing Color 2
Same dyebath as before
[21:27] Dyeing Color 3
same dyebath but add 3 more T white vinegar
Heat for 40 min total and leave it in the pot to cool
[26:06] Adding a zip tie to protect the yarn
[26:29] Washing the yarn
[27:35] Leave no dye behind
200 g Swish DK
[29:41] The dry self striping yarn
[30:57] The swatch
30 stitch stockinette swatch on 2.5 mm (US Size 1) knitting needles
[32:24] The LNDB yarn and conclusions
