MOUNTAIN Railroading & HOWLING Locomotives! INSANE Railfanning on NS's CNO&TP "Rathole" District!!!

6/23/19:

June 23rd was our full day along the CNO&TP North District, and it was a GREAT day!

The highlight of the day was Kings Mountain, KY, at which southbound trains crest a steep grade & come through a very scenic "ravine!" The grade in Kings Mountain meant that southbound trains would roll by in Notch 8, and the trains I caught here were some of the loudest I've ever seen!! Overall, a great day and I highly recommend this location as one of the best in the Eastern United States!
