Is the Frick Fixed?

After almost five weeks of working on making the old Frick better we finally get back to making some boards. Today we put the sawdust elevator back into position so we can remove the sawdust before Gary cuts up a couple of logs. Next week we'll try to do some longer logs, which will be the real test. But... for now the saw is not getting warm at all, the coolant is not overflowing, the platform where the sawyer and turners stand isn't in danger of collapsing, the tracks that the carriage rides on are straight, the brushes have been replaced that clean the sawdust off the tracks, the concrete is holding up a new steel beam to support the husk, and in general life at the sawmill is awesome.
