Must Try Ramen in Tokyo Japan and Exploring Shibuya - vlog #037 part 2

For the second part of the day we'll be exploring Shibuya and eating at a few places. The first place we'll be munching on is at a takoyaki shop called Warotako. I randomly passed by this place and it just smelled amazing and watching them turn the balls was memorizing! Takoyaki is a common street food item in Japan and you can find many shops. Takoyaki is made up of fried batter, with a piece of octopus in the center, and topped off with various sauces & toppings. If you never had it before I recommend that you get the original takoyaki first in order to try it and then try some other ones with various toppings. The Mentaiko one was pretty good, however I think it's probably one of those love it or hate it things that may be unusual for the western palette.

If you're looking for things to do in Shibuya, the Samsung Galaxy Studio is pretty cool to visit. There are tons of little activities that you can do with Samsung's newest gear. My favorite ride had to be the Jurassic ride, you spin in all sorts of direction and visually it was great. What's also awesome is that it is FREE to visit and test out their stuff!

If you're looking for places to eat in Shibuya, here are a few more awesome places! After playing some games, I'll be heading to Goodtown Doughnuts and Coffee. This charming shop really hit the spot, since I was craving for some western style doughnuts! This place reminded me of the type of doughnut places that I would visit in NYC and they had many unique flavors!

Our final place is a Afuri, which is a ramen shop that was recommended by two people that I met at a Gyukatsu Motomura a few days back. This ramen shop was packed and smelled amazing! Like most ramen shops, bring cash because they have a ticket vending machine with a also a english menu. Once you have your ticket the staff may ask whether you want pork or chicken as your topping for your ramen, depending on which bowl that you picked. What is awesome about this place is that they serve a unique bowl of ramen, which is a yuzu ramen. The tang of the broth made this bowl feel very refreshing and light and a must try if you're interested in unique ramen places.
