To apply a conditional Formatting color fill in a cell

Method 1: Highlighting Based on Value (Text or Numbers)

Select the cells you want to apply the formatting to.

Go to the Home tab and click Conditional Formatting , Highlight Cells Rules.

Choose your condition (e.g., Greater Than, Equal To, or Text that contains).

Type or select the value/text you are checking for.

Click the format dropdown next to it, select Custom Format..., and navigate to the Fill tab to choose your color. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
